As part of a university project called Unit X, I created a book about my Oma and her life. We talked over a few interviews about her life growing up in Indonesia during the second world war, having her father be taken away as a prisoner of war and eventually moving to the Netherlands to escape the civil unrest after Indonesia's war for independence. The book is split up visually to illustrate the different parts of her life, after moving to the Netherlands the book moves from Indonesian Batik style to the Dutch Delftware pottery style.
